During the summer of 2014 more than 70,000 US and international campers attended a US Sports Camps program. US Sports Camps currently offers 24 programs in 15 different sports.

Our summer sports camps include: Baseball, Basketball, Crew, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Multi-Sport, Rugby, Running, Soccer, Softball, Swim, Tennis, Ultimate, Volleyball, Waterpolo, and Yoga. We also offer several International sports camps around the world. Our sports camps continue to grow thanks to an outstanding community of Camp Directors and the dedication of the entire USSC staff. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Each camp director is responsible for hiring their own staff and typically hire in late winter and early spring. CAMP FACILITIES: We have 15 Cabins set on 40 acres , we are located in the beautiful rolling hills of Litchfield County, we reside on the shores of Bantam Lake, the largest natural lake in CT, we offer swimming, boating and water skiing on the lake, as well as go karts, motor cross and tons of land sports and other activities. There is something for every boy from wood shop to water skiing.

-All sessions start on a Sunday and end on a Saturday

-A deposit must be received by October 31st to secure the Early Bird tuition rates listed above.

-Siblings receive a 5% discount for the 2, 4, 6, or 8 week sessions.

-Rookie Week is offered to new campers only. While at camp, families will have the option of extending through August 17th for the 2-week price.

-A Canteen account is required for all campers and is used at our camp store, camp trips, and other miscellaneous items your camper may need while at camp.

CAMP FACILITIES: Beautiful, modern cabins on our boy's and girl's campuses with premier athletic facilities including our famous Indoor Gym & Theater Complex (there's nothing like this in the camping industry!) It's quickly become the stuff of legend to play there! We also feature a great pool, lots of fun lake toys, a new Art Studio, a new Gymnastics Pavilion, and all newly renovated fields, courts and facilities. Wah-Nee shines in every area!

Camp Wah-Nee features one 7 week session only--we are a true Full Season camp, which allows each camper the golden chance to develop relationships with deep roots that are built to last.

Join the Leadership Exploration and Development Program (LEaD) and prepare to be a part of the next generation of ESF Leaders. Discover your unique leadership abilities and gain rewarding experience that will help you to develop the skills to be a future ESF counselor or coach, as well as a productive member of your home and school communities. Through immersive leadership workshops, hands-on mentoring and apprentice opportunities, team building initiatives and philanthropic service learning experiences, the LEaD Program will prepare you for the very valuable job of making a difference in the lives of children.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our CIT program is for campers entering 7th to 9th grades. CIT's work with campers each morning and in the afternoon enjoy an elective schedule including swimming, sports, arts, leadership training and community service activities. LITs (Grade 10) support counselors in assigned bunks.

They learn skills necessary to become JR. counselors and receive priority when applying for staff positions the following summer!
Both programs are limited.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our facility includes a 10,000 sq ft gym packed with tons of activities, including our flying trapeze rig, trampolines, aerial fabrics/static, lyra, and more! We have boys and girls changing rooms, multiple bathrooms on each floor, a large 2nd floor viewing area, dedicated lobby, and plenty of parking!

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We are the first and only indoor flying trapeze school in New England! We offer classes year-round so you'll never have to wait for us to be open in order to fly! SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Boulder Ridge Day Camp in Barkhamsted, CT is now hiring! We are looking for fun, outgoing, and energetic staff members for a co-ed day camp in Barkhamsted, CT. Positions available include senior counselors, lifeguards, and various program area counselors. Perfect for college students and teachers looking to fill their summers with an exciting outdoor experience.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate, working towards a college degree. Must be available from June 26 – August 18, 2017 – Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, with mandatory staff training in the weeks prior to the start of camp. CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. Summit utilizes three A frame buildings for our arts programs, a wilderness treehouse with camp fire area for cookouts, newly resurfaced basketball/tennis courts, high/low ropes course with climbing wall, heated pool, private lake, nature fields with a farm area, martial arts dojo, go-kart track with 3 karts. Summit has a small amphitheatre adjacent to our lake, with a miraculous view of our beautiful setting where we enjoy swimming, canoeing, and riding our banana boats. Our camp resides on a gently rising hillside, thus providing us with the physical basis for our motto, "The Magic on the Hill."

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Using the frame of a traditional sleepaway camp, we create platforms of success where our campers can experience outcomes such as improved self-esteem, lasting friendships, and increased independence. This is accomplished through a well-orchestrated and expertly staffed backdrop to a largely traditional camp experience- guided challenges, waterfront, adventure course, and more. It is our goal and desire to take our campers from observing peer interactions to engaging in them, to learn and celebrate their own strengths and successes, and to feel a sense of belonging and shared community with those around them while they are with us.

Our Teen Travel program extends the Summit community to provide a safe yet exciting adventure to one of our many attractive national and international destination tours offering 14 day and 19 day excursions. Summit Weekenders provide a youth-group style social retreat for adolescents to have an oasis of independence, enjoyment, and success during the school year months. Regardless of the specific program, Summit provides an expertly staffed, highly structured, and truly fun experience for our youth, and has been doing so since 1969. Summit is accredited by the American Camp Association and takes pride in our long term commitment to and successes in working with special needs youth.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Transitions to Adult Living Skills program for youth aged 15-19 provides learning and vocational opportunities for our teens. We also have vocational programs for upper camp including, big brother/big sister, waiter/waitressing, working in a specialty area or as UL assistant, photography, and more. Our SUPER TEEN program focuses on building the executive function and daily living skills OUR kids needs to succeed as independently as possible.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Summit provides weekender programs in metropolitan areas throughout the country which run from Friday evening until Sunday mid-day that provide an oasis of social involvement for our youth. NY/NJ and DC/VA weekenders meet on a monthly basis.

At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.
